ICE Drivers Rebuilding New Orleans One Pile at a Time

Nearly four years after Hurricane Katrina, the rebuilding of New Orleans canals and levees are about 50% complete. The task of faced by the Army Corps of Engineers is daunting in the scope of work required to help lessen the risk of the damage caused by Katrina. Rebuilding the canal structure of New Orleans is the largest design build project in the Corps history. This effort has been aptly named Task Force Hope, when it is finished it will have taken 6 years and the repair/replacement of 220 miles of levees and floodwalls, new flood gates and pump stations at the mouths of 3 outfall canals, and strengthening of existing walls and levees.

International Construction Company (I.C.E.is a part of this rebuilding process and is proud to be at the forefront of Task Force Hope.
