If you are thinking about giving your customers a golf gift for Christmas, then the choice of gifts needs a little bit of careful consideration.

First, the gift needs to be something useful, and probably given most companies’ tight marketing budgets, something not too expensive. That’s where gifts such as logo golf balls can come in very useful. They need not be too expensive and because they can be split, usually into packs of three, you can give some customers a sleeve of just three balls whilst others could be given a full box of a dozen balls,

With logo golf balls, even if the recipient doesn’t play golf, they are likely to think it’s a shame for them not to be used and then pass them to someone they know that does play. This makes the campaign almost viral!

But what makes giving promotional golf gifts at Christmas so tricky? Simply put, only the keenest of golfers are playing at that time of the year. Whatever promotional gift you choose to give to them is going to have to be interesting enough for them to put away in their golf bag and pulled out later in the year.

That’s not to say you shouldn’t give golf gifts for Christmas. This delayed reviewing of the gift actually brings an added advantage to the campaign, lengthening the course of it from the immediate impact until the moment that the player hits the ball, never to see it again.

Once your golfer loses the golf ball, what happens then? Well, it’s likely that someone else will later pick up that ball, either searching the rough for their own ball or when the water hazards are drained to empty them of they cache of balls. Logo golf balls are typically available with almost any brand of golf ball you may wish to use. Again, this accommodates many marketing budgets as you can provide an economical ball through to a high end expensive brand ball. If you really want to cut costs, lake balls can even be printed up with your logo.

Just make sure that your logo is clear and that some form of contact details are included, unless you are a huge brand name that everyone can find. Keep it simple, but eye-catching and when you order them, order plenty and distribute them to everyone you know. The more that are out there, the more potential customers there will be to see your logo.
